Lower School Musical

Lower School Drama (grades 2-6), in partnership with Greensboro Performing Arts (GPA), will present Disney's "The Jungle Book Kids" on December 7 and 8, 2024. Adapted from the classic Disney animated film, the show features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie.

Admission is free, but a ticket is required for seating. Concessions will be available for sale.

New Garden Friends School partners with Greensboro Performing Arts to provide students with an engaging and comprehensive drama program. Instructors from GPA work with students on acting, singing, dancing, and stage presence.

Lower School Musical

Beginning in second grade, students can take part in the Lower School musical production during the first half of the school year. Rehearsals take place in the fall on campus after school and during service learning on Fridays. The performance takes place in early December.

Middle School (grades 7-8) and Upper School (grades 9-12)

The Upper School musical production takes place in the second half of the school year. Auditions are held in December, and rehearsals take place on campus after school and on weekends. The performance takes place in April or May.

For both productions, there are opportunities for students to participate on and behind the stage!

Tech Week (the week before the show) takes place at Greensboro Performing Arts at 7200 Summerfield Road. Students are bused to GPA after school, and picked up there at the end of rehearsals.
